Hey girl! How are you? 💗 I hope you have had a great week and have a refreshing weekend ahead! Today, I want to pass along some of my favorite recommendations for clean, non-toxic meal prep containers!! Overall, when it comes to storage containers for creating a non-toxic kitchen, my biggest advice is to choose glass over plastic when possible! Food-grade silicone is also a great material that won't leach toxins into your food like plastic can.

Choose glass and food-grade silicone over plastic.

Here are some of my favorite storage containers for your meal-prepping needs! 🥣✨

  • Glass Storage Containers - Costco, Sams, Walmart, IKEA, and many other stores carry sets of glass storage containers. Some do have plastic snapping lids, and I would just make sure those lids are BPA-free and that you don't heat the lids themselves! If you can find wooden or silicone lids, even better! Glass is a great material for food storage and makes for a great vessel for reheating!

    • Pyrex is a classic brand that you've probably heard of that makes glass storage containers!

    • I personally have loved these containers from IKEA that we have had for a couple of years! They have lots of good options and ones with wooden lids that I'd love to add to my collection too!

    • Mason jars are another super simple and cute option for meal prep containers, and they make all different sizes!

    • Caraway is a trendy, quality new brand that makes adorable lunch containers and organizers too (in addition to non-toxic cookware & bakeware) if you want to treat your family to a new set for lunches on the go! 🍽

  • Reusable Silicone Bags - These are a more sustainable and clean replacement for one-time use plastic bags or Ziplocks. Stasher Bags are a great name brand, and there are also other generic brands that make these resealable silicone bags too! These are great for storing prepped fruits or veggies in the fridge, or for freezing items! You can also grab them and take them on the go with you! I've seen these discounted at places like TJ Maxx, and Thrive Market definitely has them too! You can use my Thrive link here to get 40% off your first order! 😎🎉

Here's to meal prepping!

💛 Heather
