New Series: Meal Prep Made Easy


Hey girl! 👋

I hope you are off to a great August so far! I know August is a month for some of us which means back to school and for others is a natural time to want to reset with rhythms!

I thought it would be fitting and fun to take this month to focus on meal prep! 🥘✨

We all want to be well-supported and well-nourished going into this new season, right?

For some, those two words ("meal prep") can bring overwhelm. My aim is to share simple solutions for this area so that you can enjoy being in the kitchen while prepping and also delight in delicious and nutritious meals that nourish both your heart and tastebuds! 💕

To me, the whole point of meal prep is to decrease overwhelm and free up time!

There is nothing like the feeling of getting home from a full day and opening your fridge to a ready-made meal or even just a couple of ready-made elements to give you a jumpstart! ⚡️

Meal prep is important because nutrition is one of the first things that can get thrown into the wind of convenience when things get busy. Then follows the downward spiral of less energy from less quality food, not-so-great symptoms, and then the temptation to stay in that cycle which we know is not fun.

But, it doesn't have to be that way!

I watched a video of a couple hiking the elevation of Mount Everest together and speaking out loud to themselves, “Future [your name] loves past pain”, and I loved that! I now say that to myself when I'm climbing a hill on the last part of my run! 🏃🏻‍♀️

So, now we'll just tweak it a bit to “Future [your name] loves past meal prep”!

Meal prep really is an act of service, one of the 5 Love Languages, for yourself and/or those you love! 💓 It also fuels you to be a better you when you are nourished well and feeling your best! This impacts all aspects of our lives.

I think one of the biggest ways to develop a reliable system of meal prep that can enhance your life is to MAKE. IT. SIMPLE.

You also don't have to go from 0 to 100 and overwhelm yourself. Start with choosing one meal to begin meal prepping! This may not seem like a lot… but that is basically ⅓ of your food for the week which is AH-mazing!! 😎


Choose one meal—breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even snacks— to begin meal prepping this week!


I'm all about consistency and sustainability!

Let's develop an enjoyable new habit and way of nourishing YOU! 💖

Here are a few little ideas to get your brainstorm started with meal prep this week for whichever meal you choose to prep:

  1. Brekky: overnight oats, chia pudding, egg muffins or breakfast casserole

  2. Lunch: chicken salad and Simple Mills crackers or your favorite grilled protein with veggies and a yummy sauce… sauce is always the answer in my opinion 😇

  3. Dinner: stir fry with your fav protein and veggies, taco salad, or a sheet pan dinner

  4. Snacks: fresh fruit, grass-fed beef sticks, roasted salted nuts, or veggies and gluten-free crackers with hummus or guac
