Hey girl! I hope this finds you well! 💛 Were you able to find a new favorite worship song or try out an audio Bible app? 🎶 I hope you have been having a great week so far and have been able to cultivate your mind and heart with Truth from the Lord which is refreshing and empowering! ☺️ We are in the 3rd week of this series talking about how we can naturally decrease levels of anxiety, and I'm excited to share with you another tip today! So far, we have talked about the importance of getting out in God's creation and how

powerful it can be to get outside the house and go on a walk to clear our minds, engage our senses, and inspire our hearts. 💖 We have also talked about the power of praising the Lord and gratitude for who He is and what He has done for us as an antidote to fear. It can also be so impactful to listen to scripture to get it into our minds and hearts more frequently throughout the day. Worship music is also a simple and effective way to put truth into our minds. 🧠 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” — Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Here is Tip #3 this week for decreasing anxiety + increasing calm:

☀️🌳 Make sure you are getting enough magnesium. 🤍🌸

There are certain nutrients that our body needs to stay balanced and also certain natural supplements or herbs that God has given us that can help our body calm back down after experiencing a stressful event or season.

Today, I want to share with you a personal favorite nutrient and supplement that has helped me with stress and anxiety, and with simply achieving optimal function throughout the body.

Magnesium is an incredibly powerful mineral that is essential for the function of our bodies. Every organ in our body requires magnesium. If I were to pick even just one calming supplement to start with and tell you about, I would encourage you to prioritize magnesium.

Magnesium is important because:

⭐️ It's essential for energy production

⭐️ It helps our nervous system stay calm and regulated

⭐️ It helps us relax and sleep

⭐️ It supports our muscles and joints and helps with recovery

⭐️ It helps keep us regular

⭐️ and much MORE

We obtain magnesium through several foods that we eat like spinach, nuts and seeds, oats, cacao, avocado, etc. I definitely recommend focusing on a real, natural, whole-food lifestyle for obtaining magnesium and all of the other nutrients that we need. As Dr. Will Cole says, “We cannot supplement our way out of a bad diet.”

But, even with a healthy lifestyle that is rich with wholesome foods like these, our soil today unfortunately is not the same as it used to be due to over-farming and farming practices that have stripped much of the mineral content from the soil, decreasing the soil's nutrient density in time.

Certain medications, processed foods, and soft drinks also deplete the magnesium stores in the body. Also, stress depletes magnesium in the body. So, it is important daily to make sure we are getting enough magnesium, and even more important to make sure our body is getting adequate magnesium in more stressful seasons.

I'm excited to share with you one of my favorite magnesium supplements that my husband and I have taken daily for a long time!

This magnesium malate from NutraMedix has been a great tool for us to keep us in a healthy, functional range for our body's magnesium needs. I really like that NutraMedix is made in the US, is super pure, reasonably priced, and is a faith-based company too! ☺️

Also, I'm not sponsored by NutraMedix, I just really think they are great! Haha 😄

You can check out this magnesium supplement below, AND I am super excited to also share with you a signature shake recipe of mine that is packed with cacao which is a great way to get magnesium from a natural food source. It's delicious + highly nutritious! 🥤✨
